Freak Lightning Storms, and the death of Blinky

Well we had a massive and sudden lightning storm that even made it to the emergency broadcast system. With tornado warnings following it. ....wtf? Anyway, made it out in one piece...

Except for Blinky. Blinky was my monitor, and despite not being on during the storm, and the power not going out at my place (microwave clock wasn't reset) Blinky passed on... while I was sitting at my computer merrily typing away. And guess what? NEXT WEEK IS FINALS WEEK AND I HAVE TWO PAPERS AND AAAAAUGH!

Fortunately my parents are really nice and gave me the okay to go grab a new monitor from Office Max. It was on sale~ And the aspect ration is different... but the colors are amazing. All this one needs is a name. (Yes, I named my computer and all of the accessories. Don't judge me.)

I had seen this bird on the cliff tops at the coast a few days earlier, I decided to go back on a nicer day on the chance that it was a regular hunting ground (it normally would be), so I set up and waited for a couple of hours and he showed up, flew right past me but worked his way slowly back along the cliff up to me.
