Under a new moon Vashira plays her flute. Though she may not be able to see the spirits in her audience she's well aware they're listening.

Bio:
Vashira is a mischievous young woman, known for her flute playing, tale telling, and sometimes cryptic statements.  Born a blind albino she’s been marked as an oddity from the beginning, and has rather thoroughly embraced the notion.  However she is extremely secretive about her most unusual trait, namely that she can interact with spirits as a medium.  She takes great joy in this, but has recently found herself torn between the world of spirits and the mundane world of her family.

Relationships:
Widely on good terms with her family Vashira is especially close to her half sister Medivna, born of a different mother but the same father only a few days after herself.  They were inseparable as children, and these days Vashira helps Medivna tend to the gift shop she runs as well as her first child.  

Outside her family Vashira is far more aloof, though not entirely unfriendly, but thus far has turned away those with a romantic interest in her.

Though she’s interacted with a fair few spirits Vashira has only willingly hosted a wind spirit, and has grown very fond of its mischievous freedom loving nature over the years.  It would be safe to say she turns away suitors because of her adoration for this particular spirit.

Skills and Abilities:
Vashira is fairly skilled with her flute, adept at navigating with a staff, and an enthralling storyteller when the mood strikes her.  She’s not a half bad actress either.

Additionally as a medium she can ‘host’ a spirit, sharing her body with it such that the spirit may interact with the physical world.  However this can turn dangerous if the spirit in question doesn’t want to give up it’s earthly host, as its very hard for Vashira to force them away.

Likes/Dislikes:
Being quite mischievous herself Vashira has a hobby of teasing tourists with strange tales and 'mystic visions’.  She also does enjoy telling the children of her family stories, long walks through the woods by the coast, and feeling the wind’s touch.

Unsurprisingly she hates being treated as incapable because of her blindness, being stuck with an unwanted burden or task, and when the wind spirit doesn’t visit her for a long time.  Long periods of still weather, fortunately rare where she lives, are especially irksome to her.

Other Information:
-Her sister Medivna helps select clothing for her. Vashira likes light blue clothes best, because the idea of them being the same color as a clear sky pleases her.

-Vashira usually prefers to spend her days in the shade of the trees; with her lack of natural pigmentation sun exposure can be hazardous.  But she does love the outdoors.

-Lately she’s been having more trouble hiding her status as a medium.  Its not always easy to explain some of her odd behavior to concerned family members.
